Together with the San Martín region, the Cacao Technological Innovation Center (CITE CACAO) was created, accredited by the ITP of the Ministry of Production (PRODUCE, in Spanish).

On the other hand, there were resources from the Andean Development Corporation (CAF, in Spanish) and the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR, in Spanish) for the construction of ten fermentation modules and training the region’s farmers so they can acquire knowledge in good agricultural practices, harvest and post-harvest methodologies and business training. For the consulting, ten San Martín region localities were chosen, resulting in the participation of 150 farmers.
